Gigabyte B550 Vision D review

Meet the Gigabyte B550 Vision D motherboard. This product from the Vision series (which includes also a Z490 motherboard) is an AMD AM4 socket product targeted at creators. Built-in the ATX form-factor, the design resembles GB’s Designaire models. Make no mistake, this is a high-end product. It should provide excellent stability, and boasts features not to be found in cheaper models.

B550 is the strangest product. "for those who hate 2x gen 4 NVME and chipset fans"

this actually makes sense from a content creation p.o.v.
one of the most important things is high speed (outboard) file transfer, so that Titan Ridge chip is a keeper at this price point. the Asrock x570 pro (and M) afaik are the only AM4 mobos w/ TB3 under $300 (US)
that and the wifi AX, plus all of the onboard storage (with an ATX) scream
compositing, editing, audio workstation, home studio, or a super outrageous home server.
even tho my desk real estate is limited, this makes me rethink my Asrock X570 ProM (matx).
the nicest thing with the TB3 interface is the ability for a bare bones (plus TB card) pc to add an outboard gpu when it can be afforded, given the increasing number of gpu enclosures hitting the maket. not just for Apple anymore :p:p
