We review the GeForce RTX 2080 founders (reference) edition. The little sister of the Ti model still packs some serious punch as it takes on the 1080 Ti anywhere and everywhere. Of course, the RTX 2080 will also have tensor and raytracing cores. Join us in a review of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2080.

People are giving these cards 1 star reviews on amazon and all they can complain about is price.
i could see these getting review bombed over the next month or so.
I just don't get it, if they don't like the price don't buy it but a 1 star review is pretty unnecessary.

It won't affect your purchasing decisions, so what's the problem? People are free to buy, and they're also free to leave bad reviews. It helps potential customers know what other people think of the product.

I just hope amazon is smart enough to require actual card purchases for reviews when this gets review bombed over the cost.

If someone has not used said product, then they have nothing to review. Having an opinion about the prices being too high isn't a review of the product, and the only "review" you can do for that is to not buy it.
Otherwise lets all just start going to review the quadros and complain about the prices since they are so much higher then the GTX/RTX series yet perform worse(gaming).
Reviewing a product you haven't used and only rating it based off its price is the same nonsense of reviewing a shovel you never bought and giving it a 1 star because it has a wood handle and you don't like wood handles, even if it is, objectively, the best shovel out there.
Lets not encourage people to give bogus reviews when they have literally never used the product. Why amazon allows people to review products they never bought is beyond me.
Otherwise, i guess i should start going to review random products and give them 1 star because they are blue, have dwayne johnson involved in the product, are cheap (price wise, not quality wise) or are simply something i don't understand what is so i'll give it a 1 star, without ever even trying to use said products, watch said products, or buy said products.

Just taking it from my point of view here...
when I switched to 34" 3440x1440 monitor, I found out that I no longer need to apply AA because the image was very sharp even without it (that was completely the opposite of my previous 1080p 27" monitor).
Now I imagine if somebody has the money for 2080ti, they probably already have 1440p or 4K monitor or VR. If you do not have 32" 1440p which has low PPI compared to the 34" then you have very little need to use any kind of AA.
DLSS is AA feature, but who would use it? Someone with 4K or 1440p monitor does not need it much. Is there someone who would buy 2080/2080ti and use it on 1080p monitor?
The same applies for RT, who would use it on 1440/4K if it would not be able to deliver the needed performance. It is probably only usable on 1080p.
Even though I like it from the technology point of view, I see very little incentive to use it at the moment. Maybe we will see major change next year with new 7nm cards if nVidia brings the features to mainstream or low end, but until then it will be just a nice feature for adds but not for real in game use.
That's the problem, most of us who buy it, will turn off RT to gain performance and DLSS is unknown, that makes the purpose and obviously the price of the card useless.
They put a lot of emphasize on the RT cores and DLSS, what if it was possible to integrate DLSS, Deep AI learning in order to obtain some other performance benefits and cancel RT?
RT can be brought in the future, there is no need for it right now, and even though most people that play on 1080P, are casual gamers and won't buy anything above 300$.
