We review the GeForce RTX 2080 founders (reference) edition. The little sister of the Ti model still packs some serious punch as it takes on the 1080 Ti anywhere and everywhere. Of course, the RTX 2080 will also have tensor and raytracing cores. Join us in a review of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2080.

The return of investment is not there. You can get two vega64's for that price, under volt them and you will have much higher ROI.
I would guess only the rich enthusiast and 3d artists will buy 2080ti. 2080 costs the same like 1080ti so anybody who had the money already has 1080ti and does not need to change the card just for the feature set which is not usable yet.
These cards will not see high sales after the initial pre-order phase. That's my guess.
I was expecting to see these cards sell out by now but they are all still in stock on the online shop I use, I guess miners aren't snapping them all up after all.

More so if RT performance and DLSS will not be the game changer nvidia is hoping, then AMD might offer some nice high end with Navi on 7nm, we need competition ASAP.

Just taking it from my point of view here...
when I switched to 34" 3440x1440 monitor, I found out that I no longer need to apply AA because the image was very sharp even without it (that was completely the opposite of my previous 1080p 27" monitor).
Now I imagine if somebody has the money for 2080ti, they probably already have 1440p or 4K monitor or VR. If you do not have 32" 1440p which has low PPI compared to the 34" then you have very little need to use any kind of AA.
DLSS is AA feature, but who would use it? Someone with 4K or 1440p monitor does not need it much. Is there someone who would buy 2080/2080ti and use it on 1080p monitor?
The same applies for RT, who would use it on 1440/4K if it would not be able to deliver the needed performance. It is probably only usable on 1080p.
Even though I like it from the technology point of view, I see very little incentive to use it at the moment. Maybe we will see major change next year with new 7nm cards if nVidia brings the features to mainstream or low end, but until then it will be just a nice feature for adds but not for real in game use.
