What is absolutely lovely is that Fractal Design focussed on what we call the spaghetti of wires these days leading from any LCD. It's just on pump cable now as the wiring is situated within the braided sleeves of the Celsius’ low-permeability rubber tubing allows the entire system to connect at the pump with just a single power plug and an (optional and detachable) ARGB cable. That does not mean there is no cabling to be organized though, contrary. However, all cabling is now routed at and towards the radiator level where a small hub is to be found. But overall the looks at the pump level are much cleaner and easier to organize.
What is also lovely is that the cooler has two settings, auto, the cooler manages its own fan and pump levels, and you can connect it towards a PWM connector on your motherboard. When configured at PWM the silence is remarkable, only under massively overlocked loads, the unit starts to make noise. But up to that moment, we measure the acoustic levels to be hovering at just 30~31 Dba, which is sheer silence.
The Celsius S36 is an all-in-one liquid cooling solution for desktop PCs and is available in 240mm, 280mm, and 360 versions. The 360 kit that we test is a self-contained (AIO) CPU cooling unit based on liquid cooling. It does not require much setup installation. With a pump and radiator shipped pressure tested, it is pre-filled and sealed directly from the factory to provide maintenance-free operation for years. This ease of use extends to its support of the latest Intel and AMD sockets; including the latest Intel LGA 1155/1156/2011 and AMD FM2 sockets as well as AM4 for Ryzen as well as offering support for Threadripper processors. The series is equipped with a high-density water microchannel and copper finish block to offer efficient thermal conduction along with a proper radiator to maximize cooling performance. The Celsius+ series builds upon technology from Asetek with some advancements and sound dampening materials to deliver good cooling performance with low noise output.
