Corsair RM850x (2018) power supply review

We review the RM850x power supply from Corsair. This 2018 update for the RM series now is offered in a silent RMx series that comes with 80plus Gold certification, that means it's 90% efficient at 50% load. Efficiency matters. The PSU itself is fully modular, for most of you with a side panel window in their chassis a must really as you'll want modular cables.

I'm glad to see Corsair extending their warranties on their more mainstream PSU's as they are usually in stock at my local Best Buy. I have an EVGA with a 10 year warranty and its a good thing too because I am actually in the middle of an RMA on it as it is suffering power fluctuations atm and I purchased it back in 2013
