Corsair RM650x (2021) power supply review 4

We review the RM650x power supply from Corsair. This is the 2021 update for the RM series and next to an aesthetic overhaul is offered in a silent RMx series that comes with 80plus Gold certification, which means it's 90% efficient at 50% load. Efficiency matters. The PSU itself is fully modular, for most of you with a side panel window in their chassis a must really as you'll want modular cables.

With a Seasonic Focus GX 650W you'll get roughly the same but 30-40 bucks cheaper...

Just got one myself and it's good. Recommend.

I was impressed by the packaging too: all cables in plastic bags and a slipper telling Seasonic removed all non-woven materials from packaging as these are raw materials for face masks and protective clothing.

Small detail but appreciate it anyway.

i would be annoyed if my recent Prime GX purchase didn't come in its velvet bag XD

If it does, do wear that bag in public ;)

it did lol,
both my Prime GX and X 850 came in velvet bags, the x 850 also included cable bags

Absolutely off topic though.

You've made your ML hate sufficiently clear in the five posts by now, let's halt it here.

Jesus Christ,you can't be seroius man ...... it's a review,isn't it ?
maglev bearing has a certain type of buzz to it that other fans don't,that's what I was trying to tell people and you're actively trying to silence that.

An ML fan in a PSU is a plus point for me.

certainly,for longevity it's a big step up.
