Hey ya'll, you know .. over the years here at Guru3D we have tested quite a number of water-cooling solutions and actually we'll continue to do so. Water-cooling is hip, it's literally cool and extremely silent. And where two years ago my personal response was "Ehw ... electronics and water don't mix" these days pretty much all my personal PCs are being water-cooled for various reasons.

So ... most of you will now go like, huh water-cooling ? Dude, I didn't know Corsair sells that, don't they make memory ? Well they do water-cooling also, and guess what? It's pretty impressive too. It was almost a year ago when we reviewed Corsair's initial water-cooling solution called "COOL", and that product was a rather big success. Back then there already was a rumor that they would be working on "the radiator issue". The Radiator is one of the larger units that you have to be able to position somewhere in your PC, and that usually requires a little case-modification. In short, it sometimes can be a tad difficult to install for the mainstream PC abuser as such kits often require users to drill their cases to mount the water pump, radiator etc. This left the kits out of reach for most users.

Today's water-cooling solutions however are really fool-proof to install and offer an excellent price to performance ratio.

This is where Corsair came up with something new and fresh. Targeted at the mainstream consumer they now offer a complete easy to install and most of all relatively cheap water-cooling kit that can draw a lot of wattage/heat from your processor (or optional GPU). The paramount feature is that this kit is "all" about the external cooling unit that you can place anywhere, a small external box that harbors the radiator, pump and water reservoir all in one. With a MSRP of $159 this kit is just became extremely interesting for the mainstream users out there.

The fine folks over at Corsair are offering this product under the label "Nautilus 500," which pretty much covers what it does now doesn't it? What Corsair are offering here is attractive and impressive, a complete do it yourself kit compatible with all current processor sockets (with all the right brackets included so you really can't go wrong) and comes with pump, radiator, reservoir unit and tubing. Everything you need to keep that processor of yours cool.
