Corsair 5000T RGB chassis review

Corsair is back with a new kickass mid-tower chassis; this time, we're testing the Corsair 5000T RGB. It's a unique chassis with plenty of room, concealment choices, and clearance for a large amount of liquid cooling. It's quite the looker, with iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT and aRGB light strips included. The new chassis consists of a version optimized for airflow and integrated RGB throughout its DNA. A roomy interior accommodates up to ten 120mm or four 140mm cooling fans, as well as various 60mm-thick radiators, including a 360mm front or side radiator and a 360mm push/pull radiator in the roof. The 5000T gets three fans included (LL120), with built-in RGB lighting, which you can control via iCUE as an iCUE Commander CORE XT is included into the chassis as well. In fact, the Commander allows you to hook up fans, RGB and even has thermal sensors included. The interior of the 5000T Series offers multiple cooling designs that support almost any PC cooling suite. As stated, there are two versions; black and white.  Enjoy effortless access to your system thanks to one hinged tempered glass panel that displays your components and lighting, and one hinged steel panel that provides further protection.

Included is the iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT controller, which enables you to manage the fan and lighting's speed and performance. The COMMANDER CORE XT is the COMMANDER PRO's successor; it supports up to six (6) RGB fans. Additionally, the CORE XT comes equipped with a socket for CORSAIR RGB lighting strips. You can hook up Max. 12x RGB fans (6x on RGB LED hub (4-pin) & 6x via RGB LED hub on 3-pin RGB port) or 12x RGB strips with an extra HUB. Storage you can house a 5-pack of 2.5-inch or 2x 3.5-inch disks and three 2.5-inch SSD mounts. On the front panel, there are numerous I/O connectors, including a USB 3.1 Type-C port and USB 3.2 ports. Vertical GPU mounting and PSU shroud places the graphics card in the show's focal point.  Cables can be concealed behind the hinged door and there is a specific channel for cable routing.

Optionally, the graphics card can be mounted vertically, for this two slots are available for that. Motherboard wise you can install Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX (305mm x 277mm).  There are seven horizontal PCIe slots, the maximum length of the card is 40 centimeters. The CPU cooler can be a proper 17cm tall and the chassis can accommodate PSUs up to 250mm (at the closet of the HDD bay). The I/O at the front of the top panel consists of the usual buttons, an audio jack, a USB 3.1 type-c, and four USB 3.0 ports. The 5000T Airflow will go on sale for a staggering 399 USD. We'll review the Corsair 5000T RGB in black.
