Core i7 4790K Processor 5.0 GHz Review - A Silicon Lottery

When we reviewed the Intel Core i7 4790K processor (Devils Canyon) the Haswell based processor refused to overclock over 4800 MHz. So why not purchase a binned Silicon Lottery processor that is guaranteed to run 5.0 GHz ?

A lottery or not, it is pretty awesome to achieve 5 GHz on i7 Haswell

Awesome might have to jump on this!! I got a dud of a i7-4770K can't get it any higher than 4.2Ghz. Might be worth an upgrade if I can get a 4.6Ghz to 4.8Ghz CPU that runs under 1.3v.

. I think it's more about becoming middle-aged. Besides, I don't play multiplayer games because a) my reflexes suck and b) I get far too excited (heart rate and blood pressure). See what I mean
