There's a surprising amount of activity in PSU development ever since Q2 / Q3 this year. A lot of manufacturers have updated their models to fall within the new trend, a more green power supply. As such you'll notice that an 80+ Bronze certified PSU has become a standard these days.

And companies like Corsair, CoolerMaster, OCZ and so on gladly7 make use pf that developing trend. Basically these companies design a PSU that is based on core PSU technology from partners like SeaSonic, Topower, Channel Well,  FPS, Andyson or one of the other great ten, specify what they need, want and how they would like to have it built and boom .. there's your new power supply.

The Cooler Master product we test today is such a  product, the PSU was co-developed with CM. The end result ass such is enticing alright, a very nice power supply rates 80+ gold, that comes with a modular design and one big massive 12V rail, which we all like so very much.

Next to hat, Cooler Master wanted a nicer design, and as such we'll see somewhat updated looks and style. But also Cooler Master figured, heck we need a little more, this is Cooler Masters first fully modular power supply series with integrated dual 7V fan ports. So they in fact include a small 5.25" sized bay fan controller that allow you to not only connect and regulate 'additional' fans in the chassis, it will also allow you to regulate the PSU fan. A pretty funky idea, all included with this PSU.

Carrying a 80+ Gold certification (90% efficiency at typical load) , being modular, with included fan controller and having good looks yeah the Silent Pro Hybrid promises to be an excellent product series.

Have a peek at the product, head on over to the next page where we'll startup the review.
