be quiet! Dark Base 700 Review 5

We review the new be quiet! Dark Base 700. This is a new enthusiast-class chassis from be quiet! A truly nice looking chassis with integrated LED and fan controller, tempered glass, sound dampening while offering good space to work in and yeah, very silent quiet airflow. Of course, you can house many kinds of liquid cooling. Have a peek at the product we'll review today...

Awesome review Hilbert!

And thank you for including acoustics tests and a big thank you for preparing equipment for thermal tests as well.

Looks like the perfect chassi...except for the ridiculous price. It would have been a bit easier to swallow if it included three fans and not two.

PS. The features description on page 2 mentions 1 x Silent Wings but on page 3 you mention Pure Wings.

Really nice looking case. This case is going on my wish list for this Chistmas, if a price drops a little bit by the New Year or few week after and I'm sure it will. Although for those who don't want to wait and really need something special looking those €190 shouldn't be a problem, this case has that unique "extra" look for sure.

Thanks for review Hilbert. Nice pics, except 2nd pic on page no.4 with white wall reflected on tempered glass, it really looks weird and it's not the first time in case reviews, but when I think better maybe you should keep it so that everyone who are interested knows how many reflections from suroundings and objects near the case they should expect from tempered glass on some particular case. Everything else about the review is just perfect with lots of details. As Netherwind jus said acoustics tests are really nice addon for case reviews, keep those tests for for future reviews. Thank you!

My new build I used a Fractal Design Define Mini C Black Silent Compact MATX Mini Tower Computer Case with window. I've noticed lately that Guru 3D hasn't been reviewing MATX or ITX cases like they have in the past.

Hi HH

Thanks for review of this case

If its possible in future if you can test as well with installed system and what temperatures you will get during the test or gaming etc, this would be very helpful for many of us

I know friend have Dark Base 900 in which he using 2*360mm radiators and airflow in this case is just poor, as there are no openings for fans intake etc and he ended up modifying the front and top panels

There are just 2*140mm Silent Wings 3 wish they added at least at front 2*140mm fans

Hope this helps

Thanks, Jura
