ASUS Z97 SaberTooth Mark S Motherboard Review 3

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/27/2015 09:57 AM [ 10 comment(s) ]

Today we'll review the ASUS Z97 SaberTooth Mark S Limited Edition motherboard. It's bright and white alright! Join us in a review on a product that is bound to please the PC gamer. The all white Z97 TUF themed mainboard is intended for Intel's 22nm Haswell and Haswell refresh processors on that Socket LGA1150 platform. It is a mainstream to high-end segmented product amongst the ASUS Sabertooth series that comes with some nice features and very VERY decent overclock potential.

Dam you kidding ?oh jeez... the white and nit picks is all I want with this board.
$300 at the egg but man no leds no jumper or on/off buttons.
now maybe if I find a white(or any)case I like? why they do that to me WHY?

As soon as I read this review, I searched for and immediately bought one.
Should look just fine with my GALAX GTX980 HOF.
I have a spare white case, but I think it'll look better in a black one.
White tubing would be a little too much, but the pump is white.
I have a 4 pack of red Mushkin memory not doing anything ATM, so red tubing may be best. At least I could see through it.
I'm not sure about the cpu block color, but EKWB has a red one, I think.
I also scored a dozen 6 packs of Monsoon compressions, all gold, so that's a certainty. An on-line shop over here went out of business last Fall and when I found the sale, all I could get was gold fittings. I wanted all black, but I found that gold also goes with everything.
I guess I should buy another cpu, as mine is golden and I'm not giving it up for anything or anybody.
This will be my mothers new comp. and she doesn't OC, anyway.
Thankfully, ASUS left everything off this board I didn't want or need.
Thanks for yet another excellent review, Hilbert!

If only ASUS would make a white Impact.

Probably looks nice in this case: http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/143-h440-performance-mid-tower.html

Nice that they made the PCB white too, so those who don't like the armor are able to strip it away without loosing the matching color for their build.
