ASUS ROG Thor 1000W Platinum II (1000W PSU) review 5

Today we’re putting the new Asus ROG THOR 1000W PLATINUM II power supply on our test bench. The company is not so much known from their PSUs (as they’re rather associated with the motherboards, graphic cards, monitors, or peripherals). Still, we had a chance to check the first Thor at the end of 2018, when the 1200W version was reviewed (priced 329 EUR/USD), earning the “Best Hardware” award. Will the new version be as successful?

is it the feminine thor or the masculine. naming something that represents wishful thinking feminine and weak isnt exactly clever marketing.

What in the actual heck are you talking about? You know Thor was around longer than Marvel... and this has nothing to do with Marvel.

I know its a seasonic under the hood which I have in all my PCs but the Asus name just puts me off, anything I have ever had from Asus has been bad

That is the most pleasant looking PSU I've ever seen.

I own one and it is just a high end Seasonic with RoG branding. Mine is the 850w version but it looks identical.

I too aren't a big fan of Asus but this isn't really an issue for me as the only thing that is Asus is the cooling and the skin and even then the cooling might just be a sticker as i've not seen the original Seasonic version inside.
