Yes this whole "16 PCI lanes only" thing caused by Intel is a pain in the ass. These Z370 really are limited functionality gaming only motherboards. Does the AMD versions of these boards give more PCI lanes and therefore functionality?

Hilbert - did you notice any V-droop? Tom Logan (OC3D) just about melted down over having tested board 2x over a few weeks and had consistent v-droop. you mentioned the piggy nature of this board loving voltage...did you end with the same values as when you started and/or did the bios update finally catch that problem?

As far as I can find AM4 is all 16 lane as well for graphics, 4 lanes dedicated for an NVMe drive and 4 lanes to the chipset for I/O. So only difference is the 4 dedicated lanes for NVMe. Intel is technically 20 PCI lanes and AMD is 24 lanes on mainstream.
