We have a peek at the Flagship ASUS Z270 motherboards, well, flagship ... lets call it battleship. The ASUS Maximus IX Extreme from the Republic of Gamers line. The board boasts everything you want and need, has a deep and profound AURA LED lighting system, CPU VRM area water-block (monoblock) and then some.

This makes me feel good with my rig, my CPU, MB and RAM cost 555€...
Like Hilbert said in his review, i don´t understand the point of buying such an expensive MB for cpus like the 7700K/7600K but ok....

For that kind of money they could have given one more expansion slots. That is a deal killer for me.

The price is absurd when X299 motherboards and related updated CPUs are right around the corner. People who have water cooling already are basically throwing away $100 or whatever it cost for their waterblock. Overlocking is the same as any motherboard. And the features are fully loaded, but so are other motherboards that cost half the price. I guess you are paying for the aesthetics. It's just absurd that this is exists at this price point when X299 is a month or two away.

This price doesn't make sense to me. Same MB without the block cost about $350? plus corsair water cooling for about $100 with same results. Total $450. And a lot less work to set it up.
