Introduction

ASUS CineVibe HeadsetWelcome back to another edition of our headset reviews, the last of which we cannot quite remember, but we do remember that we do love our headphones.  While you may think ASUS only does high-revving motherboards and high-end audio cards, they also make headphones.

This is something that this reviewer was not particularly aware of.  Anyway, please welcome to the Guru3d Labs the ASUS CineVibe Rumble Feedback USB Gaming Headset.  Unfortunately for it we collected a number of headphones and headsets to compare it too, including a $350 pair of AKG 701s.

At first glance you might think that comparing the CineVibe to audiophile quality headphones may not be in the best of taste, however, we find that the CineVibe are actually pretty good.  The shock! The horror!  The screeching violins!  Oh, well find out how well the CineVibe handles violins in due time, but its main function are a gaming headset with rumble feedback.

Incidentally, if it rumbles in your hands its called a Force Feedback controller.  If its on your head, its called Rumble Feedback.  Im not quite sure who came up with the terminology, but its a mystery nonetheless.  Let's get ready to rumble.
