8GB is preferred over 4GB yes, the 570 or 580 remains a personal choice in budget though.
Doesn't he 30 EUR difference between the 580 8GB and the 570 4GB seem way too small to justify going for the 570?

Isn't "Gaming X" trademark of MSI? That can't be right.

Old, noisy, slow & hot are the words that come to mind! Boring GPU market, time for some changes!

The 580 at one time with 8gb was about £240 +
So they can dress up any card they like , Asus . today near at £400 - jog on, we still have a price rip off

In the review of this card it's seen to be: 1) noisy 2) hot 3) slow and 4) old tech now that's been released for donkeys years! Hence the comment I made saying "Old, noisy, slow & hot are the words that come to mind! Boring GPU market, time for some changes!"

I still have my ASUS Strix RX580 clocked about the same as this card. While I am happy enough with it and it is about the same as the MSI Gaming X GTX 1060 I had briefly and the EVGA GTX 1060 SC before it, I really thought by now I would be buying a GTX 1070 or AMD equivalent for this price by now. Very disappointed in the market right now as well. Neither the GTX 1060 or RX 580 have any business priced over $300 USD. These should be under $200 right now and we should all be reading reviews about RX 680 and GTX 1160 at least 6 months ago showing us GTX 1070 like performance for $250 USD.

Hello everyone, I'm new here.
I have a question regarding the consumption of this GPU.
Do you think that a Corsair CX550W power supply is enough to power a Ryzen 7 2700 + RX580?
Thanks and regards.

Hi Hilbert, always a pleasure to read your work.
A question to you and other readers:
Doesn't he 30 EUR difference between the 580 8GB and the 570 4GB seem way too small to justify going for the 570? I mean, on a 2 to 3 year perspective, don't the 30 extra totally make sense? In other words, why would anyone buy the 570 at that price?
Thanks!
