Right then, as always the packaging and bundle first, everything is packaged and bundled safely in the box. Once unboxed you'll spot the liquid cooling unit consisting out of the radiator, fan, tubing, pump/cooling block.

Most of the gear is pre-fitted and ready to use of course. However ocne opeing the package, a plethory of partswil be thrown at you.  Next to that you'll spot a back plate that supports a wide variety of CPU sockets. AMD AM2, AMD AM3, AMD FM1, AMD FM2, Intel LGA 1155, Intel LGA 1156, Intel LGA 1366, Intel LGA 2011 based processors can be used in combination with this cooler as well as LGA 1150 (Haswell).

Once unboxed you'll spot the cooling unit consisting of the radiator assembly, fan and brackets + back plate that support a very wide range of AMD and Intel processors. A little thermal paste is included as well. You'll receive a back-plate and retention clips. According to Zalman, pretty much any modern processor can be cooled with this kit. Installation as we'll show you is fairly annoying as for a simple mounting bracket you already need to install quite a lot of bits and pieces, we'll show you that in this article later on.

Here we have the Reserator 3 MAX, we'll need to mount ot towards a 120mm mount location inside the chassis. You could add another fan and set them up in a push-pull configuration. Pump, tubing and radiator are assembled as one single unit.
