Product Installation
The downside the 10X really has -- it has to have an actual installation. You need to take out the motherboard as you'll need to secure retention clips with nuts and bolts like shown in the above photo.
Once you got the first stage retention clip installed make use you lube that processor up with the provided thermal grease.
You can now position the cooler and the second stage spring based retention clip clamping the cooler down which will also properly seat the cooler. What we dislike is that the pre-mounted fan needs to be removed from the heatsink in order to access the spring based screws. Once you removed the fan and need to reseat it .. that's the real annoying part as it took me 5 minutes before the power connector would seat and connect properly.
