That's not exactly a mirror lapped finish alright. The base is pure copper, nickel plating would have been preferred, but well .. in this price range what would have been too expensive to do.
The top side of the heatsink shows the six pipes in U shape leading out of the aluminum fins -- some Zalman branding is found here as well.
Once we secure the fan with the help of two retention iron clips as shown above, we get an idea of what the final product looks like. BTW securing the fan is very the last step in the installation process.
Installation then .. holy **** -- that's way too much parts. Let's try and explain what's going on with assembly as there are quite a few steps to be taken.
