The 6800/6900 series will not (yet) replace the Navi lineup, it's a different product category as AMD simply did not have an enthusiast-class performing product that matched NVIDIA's performance in the enthusiast spectrum. The Radeon RX 6800 XT has 4608 stream/Shader processors active, the 6800 3840 units.
1.4 with DSC and HDMI 2.1 VRR and FRL.
- The reference 6800 cards have a game clock up-to 1815 MHz.
- The reference 6800 XT cards have a game clock up-to 2015 MHz.
- The reference 6900 XT cards have a game clock up-to 2015 MHz.
This registers back at 2340 MHz for this particular graphics card model. All in all good for an overall extra 4% in performance. The rear end of the cooler looks a bit weird that way, but overall nice. You'll notice a dual-BIOS. The default “Balanced” BIOS on the right is rated for typical Game Clock speeds of 2090MHz (+75MHz vs. reference) and maximum Boost Clock speeds of 2340MHz (+90MHz vs reference). Flipping over to the “Rage” BIOS on the left adds another 20MHz to those speeds, along with raising the power limit with another seven Watts, this is the mode we test.
