This is the supplied fan controller, which should be fitted in a spare PCI slot on your motherboard tray. It handles fans up to 6-12V / 1-24W. The fan however can also be controlled by your mainboard based on heat. Simply do not use this controller then.

Asetek has included a pass-through molex connector and a splitter cable with one end going to your motherboard to measure the rpm and the other powering the fan on the Vapochill Micro.

Hey that's stylish. The lapped copper base has been equipped with small droplets of thermal paste already. The heatsink must be in direct contact with the CPU core at all times, which is why thermal compounds are used to fill any possible gaps that there may be even if it is not visible.
