The first thing I wanted to do is to look at graphics memory usage. All the high-end cards these days start at 3GB framebuffers (graphics memory). But what if your are using high AA levels at 3840x2160. Well let's have a peek with an easy in the graphics memory titles (Tomb Raider) and then a more heavy on the Graphics memory title (Hitman Absolution).

So with traditional and conservative games like Tomb Raider up-to 2 GB of graphics memory simply is sufficient enough.

Another example is Hitman, it uses a lot of quality textures but also the more traditional AA modes like Multi-sampling can eat away both framerate and graphics memory. Now we doubt you'd ever use 8x MSAA at 3840x2160, but if you do you would pass 3 GB.  And let me just state that for generic gaming up-to 3 GB graphics memory seems to be a sweet spot. But with pending UHD texture packs and games like GTA5, I get that itchy feeling that we are about to pass 3GB overall rather sooner then later.
