AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 and 64
AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 / 64 LE / 64 LCS
The introduction of the VEGA based consumer graphics cards
In this technology preview we'll have a closer look at the now announced AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 and 64. AMD is to release three models for the consumer market, two air-cooled versions and one liquid cooled product. AMD today is announcing their Radeon RX Vega 56 and 64 series graphics cards, there will be two air-cooled models initially, called the Radeon Vega 56 and 64 as well as a Vega 64 liquid cooled edition. As the rumours are now confirmed, the number in the suffixes are based on the actual shader clusters and thus you are looking at two air-cooled graphic cards initially being released, one with 3584 and one with 4096 shader processors.
Let's get the elephant out of the room right away, the earlier rumors have been wrong about pricing, 399 and 499 USD for the standalone air-cooled versions. There will also be a liquid cooled edition that is clocked faster at a price of 699 USD, which does come with a bundle. The three cards are due for release and availability in August. You can purchase the cards separately, yet AMD is also going to offer bundles that will give your discounts (CPU/Game bundle/ monitor discount) in packages.

We'll talk about the specific specifications in a tidbit, but an interesting fact: with proper cooling according to AMD Vega10 can reach 1.7 GHz or higher. We’ll have to wait and see how that works out for the AIB custom air-cooled versions liquid cooled versions of course. Later in the month on a liquid cooled version will be released, at a price of 699 USD. But let's have a look at specifications. Some specs in the charts are not yet final as AMD has not shared everything just yet. But with a bit of math you can reverse spec a lot of stuff.
The new RX Vega cards will be available in August, AMD did not mention a hard date for launch availability. AIB cards will follow in Q3. Next page please where we'll have a look at the more specifications and tech details.
