RGB Control

Despite the memory being made in conjunction with Asus, it is possible to tweak the RGB on non-Asus built boards as well, via their Aura application. I have used it several times since I first came across it much earlier in 2018, and I have to say, it has improved a lot. It will ask for a restart upon install, but is then meant to detect all Asus Aura capable products currently installed in the system. As you can see from the screenshots, it did.

There are the usual plethora of effects to choose from, but - by default - the memory will be boot with a standard 'colour shift' pattern, of which you can control the speed of the cycles. Where possible, this is a feature present on all lighting profiles.

I have to say, 100% full props to Team Group, here. The lighting on this unit looks simply phenomenal and provided some much-needed glow into my once very dull system. The light bar diffuses the effects very nicely, and I wouldn't call it 'garish' by any standard. It might be bright for some, and brightness isn't something you can adjust (sadly), but I think being smart and choosing the right effect will have the desired result. Besides, if you're buying a kit of RGB memory, I'd argue you probably want as much of the 'bling' factor as it has to give? Personally, though never the biggest advocate of the RGB craze, I happily settled on the 'Rainbow' effect and left it at that. My PC follows a distinctly white & metal colour theme, and I liked the way the rainbow contrasted. Naturally, those with themed PCs can choose a single colour, colour cycle, or - quite frankly - anything else they please.

There isn't much to say, here, beyond what has been said already. I really like the look of the modules themselves, and a great job has been done with the lighting effects and the way they look.
