SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Headset review -
Final words and conclusion
Final words and conclusion
The Arctis Nova Pro is an excellent opportunity for gamers to get a high-quality headset solution (but at a steep price). Out of the box, they have a relatively neutral sound profile, with a touch of extra boom that can help bring out sound effects like footsteps. The comfort it provides (also thanks to the lightweight design), the sound insulation, and the broad configurability, thanks to the provided DAC, make it a fascinating product. The design is elegant thanks to black and gray colors, and there’s no RGB. The quality is excellent, with the usage of the leatherette as a prime example. It’s a good package for your spending, given the two 40 mm neodymium magnets. The drivers offer a sound that’s detailed enough and has a broad spectrum. It’s not a headset aimed at music lovers (of course, if you’re not an audiophile, I don’t think they would even consider this product), but you can fine-tune it, so you should be satisfied. For the gamers – all is already set, thanks to the SteelSeries GG software, and the effects are significant. It always sounded clean and crisp. I don’t have any complaints here.
The provided DAC is a great feature, and it makes this headset (even more) attractive. The onboard controls are intuitive, and the volume dial is large, which is always a plus. A metal strip to the top of the headband is positioned in a way that wouldn’t stop any of the plastic parts from breaking.
Wearing Comfort
Arctis Nova Pro is excellent in this respect. The simple design makes it feel outstanding in weight (relatively light) and very comfortable. The ear padding is satisfying, the headband is made very solidly, and it’s possible to adjust it. Even longer sessions are not tiresome, and your ears don’t get too warm despite using closed ear cups.
Conclusion
You have to spend 249.99 USD/279.99 EUR - Arctis Nova Pro is not the best “steal” on the market. It’s a very elegant and premium headset. It offers outstanding gaming audio quality (also thanks to the provided DAC) and a microphone which offers more than enough quality for most users. For me, the Arctis Nova Pro delivers a good performance in music (but it’s not aimed at that purpose), especially after changing the EQ settings. Still – it’s way above Average in gaming, thanks to proper 40 mm drivers. You get fantastic wearing comfort, and the headset is light. The headband should be durable, as are the ear cup mounts. From the positive aspects, the headset is loud and comfortable, has versatile connection options (you can connect two devices simultaneously, for example, PC and PlayStation 5), and has a very good sound quality. Last but not least – the Arctis Nova Pro is expensive. Still - it’s a headset worthy of a Top Pick award. The main drawbacks are the price, a bit short headset to GameDAC 3.5 mm cable (1.2 m), lack of velour earpads (as an option), and the number of cables you need to manage. The provided features (like DAC), sound quality, and excellent build quality are the essential items to mention in the final lines of this review.

Asus ROG has a broad range of PC components and peripherals. That included the headsets; at the moment, there are 29 models available (so there’s plenty to choose from) on the manufacturer’s website. Also, we had an opportunity to check some of the models in the past, like the Asus Strix Fusion Wireless (in 2019) or the Asus Strix Fusion 700 – RGB (in 2018). Today we’re checking the new Delta family member (introduced in 2018) - the Delta S Wireless headset, which was announced in June ’22.
