This is a small box slash drawer for your spare parts and drive mounts. The drive mounts you need to push onto your HD/CD-Rom, then slide it into the drivebay and then with the help of a retention bracket (pre-installed) mount it securely. And that brings me to the next point. Spire is advertising this Pininfarina designed case to be a tool-less one.

Here we can see the retention clips that will mount your HD/DVD-Rom etc. You install the device, then take the retention clip and align it with the holes in the drive cage. Then, turn the center knob to lock it securely in place. It works really well.

However before you can actually reach your HD's you might have noticed that this huge slide bar is in place. You can mount a fan in there to cool your CPU (it's located in front of the fan-duct) yet more importantly it makes your case more sturdy.

It's in the way of the drives though, so simply click the plastic retention clip and onwards you go.

Same goes for the drive bay. You remove a little thumbscrew, push a retention clip and you can detach the entire bay. Notice that the 120mm fan is located there as well.
