Performance Wired
On this page we'll test the router in two stages. LAN to LAN and WAN to LAN. We simply measure throughput from server side to client. On each machine we setup a RAMDISK, on which we'll force a massive compressed file copy from one side to the other. We measure the peak bandwidth reached.
We run the test three times and then we average the results you see below.
Above the WAN to LAN throughput. The router can take roughly 150 MBit/sec of data traffic considering we leave cloud security off. There is however a hardware acceleration feature that when enabled blows away performance (in a good fashion). Sufficient to say the router is plenty fast for anything internet related anno 2011 over wired Gigabit Ethernet in combination with your ISP speed.
Here we test LAN to LAN performance, the maximum data traffic in-between computers. As you can see we close in on a full Gigabit here, no worries whatsoever, that is very good.
