Silverstone Permafrost PF240 liquid cooler review - Product Showcase

Product showcase

The radiator on the PERMAFROST is based on a 240 mm design that is 28 mm thick and has a typical fin density as in others all-in-one liquid coolers. Push/pull fan setups are possible with the Silverstone PERMAFROST.

The provided 120 mm fans run at a maximum of 2200 rpm and feature a maximum airflow of 94 CFM.
That’s the theory, but in reality, the range of useful RPMs is different.

In Fan Xpert 4, it was possible to set the RPMs as low as about ~200 (in Extreme Quiet mode), with a max of 1367 rpm. In practice it wasn't possible to get lower than 560 rpm, maybe that's an issue in the Asus AI Suite which I've encountered in the past where the rpm reading were 2x lower. You have to remember that results may vary depending on the fan sample and the motherboard too.

The radiator’s dimensions are 272 x 120 x 28mm. To simplify the design, the pump, reservoir, and radiator are of course set up as one unit. The PM240-ARGB radiator is very minimalistic, and shouldn’t interfere with the aesthetics of most systems. The radiator’s tubing is approximately 400 mm long and has black braided sleeving.

The top of the CPU block features a mirror-finish plastic plate, but the overall design looks quite cheap (it’s plastic). The water block has the manufacturer’s logo on it, and it’s aRGB backlit. The water block consists of a copper base and a plastic body, with dimensions of 61mm (L) x 61mm (W) x 50mm (H). The motor speed is 3400±10% RPM. SilverStone uses standard ARGB 3-pin 5v cables for the pump. The base of the block does not have a mirror finish.

SilverStone 750 Watt ATX Power Supply
Today we will have a look at the Zeus 750 Watt continuous power supply from Silverstone. A really awe-inspiring power supply with four (yes four) +12 Volts rails and which is also an SLI ready power supply. We'll put it to the test buy using our quad SLI setup. The new Zeus is cool, literally, as up to 750W it'll maintain a temperature of 50°C. You get 60 AMPs combined (over 700W) for these four +12V rails alone, making the ST75ZF capable of powering any top of the line system available today and the near future.
