Are you ready for some authentic "bloke" stuff ? Is that 350 Watt power supply a little boring ? Do you crave the need for powerrrr ? Well good for you .. as today we'll be testing a 750 Watt power supply unit (the pimp daddy of PSU's) from that iniquitous company Silverstone.

Never in the history of the PC have PSU's become more important as they are right now, and the end of it's development is not yet in sight. Quite frankly I foresee a future where certain components will require another PSU.

Obviously it has to do with our endless need for power consumption. Dual-Core processors, SLI/Crossfire based multi-GPU core graphics cards, multiple GB's of memory and RAID units setup with 10k RPM drives. Yes, we need a lot of current to keep our hardware running smoothly. Recently we tested their SilverStone 600 Watt ATX Power Supply (ST60F) and today we will hail the Gods once more as we'll

summon the principal god of the Greek pantheon, ruler of the heavens, and father of other gods and mortal heroes .. yes it's Zeus !

So with that being said, today we'll review a PSU from that wicked company SilverStone. The SilverStone Technology, Inc. homebase is stationed in Taiwan. They specialize in designing low acoustic and high performance PC and HTPC enclosures, power supplies and other accessories for the PC enthusiast market.

We will have a look at their Zeus 750 Watt continuous power supply. A really awe-inspiring power supply with four (yes four) +12 Volts rails and which is also an SLI ready power supply. We'll put it to the test buy using our quad SLI setup. The new Zeus is cool, literally, as up to 750W it'll with a temperature below 50°C. You get 60 AMPs combined (over 700W) for these four +12V rails alone, making the ST75ZF capable of powering any top of the line system available today and the near future.

Designed in a stealthy black disguise you'll notice that all supplied connectors are nicely wrapped in fully sleeved cables using nylon sleeving. That is looking good for sure. This is the enthusiast PSU, a high-end power supply which is ready for SLI and Crossfire with these quad 12 volts rails and hey .. active PFC and a silent fan. We'll explain all that to you over the next pages though.

This Zeus PSU is manufactured by SilverStone and carries the model label ST75F.

Let's startup the review and have an overall look. In today's test we'll stress the PSU with two NVIDIA GForce 7950 GX2 cards (four GPUs) that should torture Zeus and make it scream like baby .. or not ? Find out on the next pages.
