The provided fans are the Scythe Kaze Flex 120 mm. The colours scheme is black-grey. The fan has 11 blades, with anti-vibration pads provided on the mounting corners, and that’s a nice bonus. The basic specifications are listed below:
- Fan Dimensions: 120 x 120 x 27 mm (so 2 mm thicker than the usual size)
- Fan Speed: 300 ~ 800 RPM +/- 10 %
- Fan airflow: 16,6 ~ 43.03 CFM / 28,2 ~ 73,1 m³/h
- Fan noise: 4 ~ 14,5 dBA
- Control Mode: PWM
Both of the fans are based on a sealed fluid dynamic bearing, so the longevity should be very high.
That’s the theory, but in reality, the range of useful RPMs is as stated above.
As for the radiator - it’s an aluminium one with many fins, so nothing that would surprise anyone.
The total size of Scythe Ninja 5 is 138.5 mm x 155 mm x 180 mm (w/ fans). The weight in total is 1190 g, which is massive.
You can see the six heatpipes here. The diameter of each is 6 mm. The quality of the CPU base of the heatsink is sufficient, and it’s nickel-plated.
As you can see here – the six fins are cut to provide more memory clearance and better compatibility.
Due to the construction of its top section, the Ninja 5 looks more like a single, rather than the dual tower that it really is.
The top is all black, so it’s rather unlikely to attract everyone’s attention (which wouldn’t be the case with a typical aluminum one), which is in fact an advantage.
