The S3 has two cameras. The main camera in the S3 is an 8 megapixel cammy with LED flash and auto focus features. It's probably the best camera I have ever seen on a smartphone. The camera is capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps.

There is also a secondary camera that comes with a 1.9MP front-facing camera for video calls.

The primary camera shoots photos at 8 MP and records 1080p HD video as well. The camera has a voice-activated photo capture option and a burst shooting mode which takes 3.3 photos per second. It also sports zero shutter lag, less than a second shot-to-shot time is bound to surprise you in a positive manner. After the zero-shutter lag the camera takes 20 photos at once, the Best Photo feature chooses the top eight photos and allows users to select what he or she considers the best. Another useful feature is that the camera phone is also capable of snapping stills while recording a video.

The ability to recognise faces from within photographs is fun as well, it is meant to make it simpler to find the people you care about. Overall we found the speed with which you can take a picture combined with all the options it offers and the sheer range of settings for those that want to dig a little bit deeper like contrast, exposure, ISO levels and white balance tweaks very well thought through. It is easy to work with and honestly, the output quality is more than adequate for most.

Sound QualityWe have to mention the speaker. Overall quality is okay for a smartphone, decent sound with good volume levels, definitely loud enough. The Galaxy S3 does function as a multimedia device, common audio formats are all supported. The S3 also has a built in FM radio, you'll need to plug in the headphones though as it functions as an antenna.

You'll receive in-ear headphones with the S3, audio quality can be tweaked with EQ presets, the overall output quality we found to be pretty good with nice and good bass.
