Conclusions

We found a nice surprise with this unit as when you consider the price point and the feature set, this unit is simply a great deal. 750 Watts of power, 6 standard molex, 4 6/8 pin PCI-E 8 and SATA connectors!

The 8 SATA connectors is great with newer DIY systems supporting RAID or JBOD, some PSU will leave you reach for molex to SATA adapters so it was a nice surprise to see these.

You also have enough connectors for a simple 2 way Sli or Crossfire system for those interested in trying their hand at a modern graphics array.

There is really not much can say about a PSU, either the PSU offers you the power and connections you need or it does not.  This unit offered everything we needed for powering the test system and this product is extremely quiet which is a feature we all enjoy especially in the audio world.

This unit also makes a great platform for those into PC modding as you can change out the fan with a cool LED model or cut a window in the side.  You don't get alot of bling on this unit but that is to be expected at this lower price point.

Connectors wise there's a decent choice available all of them with okay length. I say okay as I find the ATX motherboard and CPU power cables 10cm too short for each. The peripheral connectors though are nice and lengthy and run up-to roughly meter in length. Overall looks then, can I say the PSU looks OK, but it's just that ? The cables are sleeved but you can still see yellow, red and black wires through them. Sleeving really should be dense non-see-through black. The same can be said about the connectors ... preferably they'd be all black.

The build quality seems to be good as you can expect these days from a modern brand. It's a PSU with decent 80+ Bronze efficiency that won't cost you an arm and a leg to purchase, as such it comes recommended. guru3d-recommended_150px.jpgBrinze will offer you a nice 85% efficiency at 50% load.

Our final verdict is a good one as this unit offers tons of modular connections, high power output and all for under $100!?  How can you beat that? So, if you find yourself a bit light in the pocket after building your latest rig and still need a PSU, check out the Hive Series PSU's from Rosewill.
