Riotoro CR1080 Compact PC Case Mini Tower

We review the Riotoro CR1080 Compact PC Case Mid Tower, a product series that is designed for compact builds with decent looks. This case can house a regular ATX motherboard, but also has a special feature, the motherboard is reversed, thus sitting up-side down at the right side of the chassis.

The CR1080 is currently one of the smallest chassis offered by RIOTORO. It is a Mini Tower case, but definitely a chassis that can hold a very powerful PC (components wise). See, you'd think this chassis is aimed at a micro-ATX or mini-ITX form factor build, well no .. it can house ATX sized motherbaords. And that makes it rather special. The Riotoro CR1080 measures in at 9.625” (W) x 14.125” (H) x 15.5” (D) (245mm x 359mm x 394mm).

On the front side of the CR1080 you'll spot a 5.25” bay, a HDD and SSD tray.

  • Full ATX support (small case) Drive Bays 5.25"x1, 3.5"x1, 2.5"x1, convertible 3.5"/2.5" x 1
  • Compartment design for better cooling, Water cooling Compatible. Includes 1 - 120mm RIOTORO BLUE LED Case Fan
  • PSU support: Standard ATX 175x150x85 mm. Fits all Reference design cards
  • Expansion Slots: 7, Dedicated intake fan for VGAs, USB 3.0 x2, microphone, headphone
  • Motherboard: ATX, mATX, miniITX , Max CPU cooler height 120 mm, Max GPU length 300 mm

So then, a small case designed to support full size ATX motherboards, standard power supplies, and it can even house long graphics cards. Well need to check that out. The Riotoro CR1080 can be spotted at an MSRP of $79. Riotoro is coming to the EU market as well by the way. Anyway, have a peek at the chassis and then lets dive into the review. Oh and yeah, it is reversed, e.g. your motherboard hangs to the right side of the chassis.
