Review: Liquid Cooling with a TechN waterblock -
Conclusion
Final Words & Verdict
The TechN waterblock claiming leadership has indeed confirmed its right to the crown. The guys from TechN are professionals in their field. Speaking about the pros, there are many of them. Design, quality of materials, and elaboration of small details are worthy of praise. The area of the micro-channels completely covers the entire IHS. Ultra-thin channels (without defects, it is really unique) speak about the most advanced technologies that TechN uses. Massive cold plate has huge inertia, which favorably affects the reduction of temperature peaks. Input water flow into the microchannels at a special angle to reduce hydrodynamic resistance, while not compromising the performance of the waterblock.
Concluding
The TechN block is also available to Intel processor users and is supported by both LGA 1200 and 2066. And most importantly, they are not inferior in technology. Another important advantage of the TechN waterblock is its relatively low cost - 100 euros. The closest competitor in the premium segment is Optimus, which will cost the user 15 euros more, but you will also have to buy a quality DDC pump. I wrote about DDC for a reason, because most custom systems contain corner fittings, filters, GPU waterblocks and other elements that affect the HDR. Of course, D5 will do the job, but 100% of the speed can affect its lifetime, and you just don't get the maximum performance of waterblocks because of the weak flow (especially on the GPU waterblock). Also, I can't help but mention Heatkiller IV Pro, the water block has been on the market for quite a while and is an unprecedented leader in the performance per dollar category, which is important for those who will build an efficient and low-end custom system. In any case, we have a choice and it's great.
