How long have you been a member of Guru3D forums?
Not actually a member of the forums as I only read the articles on the website for now. But hope to become a member as soon as i can.

What did you first come here for?

Stumbled across this site while reading hardware articles for video cards when that crave for hardware started at about my sophomore year in high school. Ever since then i come to this site for any info i need about computer hardware/software.

What do you mainly use the system for?

GAMING!! If a system can handle games it can handle anything. I have also done some video editing on it but not that much. I play games as often as i can and need to.

How much did you spend on the rig?

oooh... umm.. I'm not quite sure but i think around 3500 US. I didnt get any OEM's, pure retail box.

How often do you update/buy a new rig?

Use to do it a lot, but then i started to have to do "OTHER" things with my money that i didnt want to. But i upgrade as often as i can to keep certain things up to date - mainly the video cards.

Why ATI or NVIDIA, why Intel/AMD?

Why Nvidia? Because ATIIII cant stand their drivers. Always causin troubles for me.

Why Intel?  Just because they have Hyperthreading, and thats it. I like to multitask. but really AMD beats them any day.

Does the system work as expected?

Whew!! When i first built this system I thought it was the greatest system in my town. And it actually was. But after the months past  people started to get their PC's upgraded also. It still gives a lot of users a run for their money which makes me happy.

What's the best part of your rig?

The best part of my rig would probably have to be the GeForce 6800GT which by itself runs all my games sooo smoooth. The worst performance i have is running the DOOM 3 benchmark. In which i get 56fps all settings maxed at 1280x1024 resolution

What sucks and should not have been bought?

HaH! Nothing, everything in my computer i like and nothing fails to meet my expectations except for the RAID which i would hope could do 4 SATA drives in striped array.

Modified cases/video cards/other? Did you do it yourself? Walk us through it.

I did nothing to this computer in any modified way shape or form. I really dont think its worth it to give up your warrenty. My video card i OC'd once and it didnt do much so i was like "whatever" and put it back to defaults. Other than that i keep it to factory standards: Fast and Stable

3DMark scores?

3DMark 2001SE= 19,301 Marks

3DMark 2003= 11,800 Marks

3DMark 2005= 4,538 Marks

Future upgrades?

I dont plan on upgrading this computer for a while and i also hope that it last me so when 64bit windows gets more popular then i can upgrade.
