Age/Occupation/Location?

I'm currently 15 years old. I'm a student at Yerba Buena High, and I live in Cali, San Jose.

How long have you been a member of Guru3D forums?

I've been a member of Guru3D forums since I think these past 5 months.

What did you first come here for?

I came here for overclocking. I didn't really know how to overclock at all. Now I know how to overclock but am not really an expert at it.

What do you mainly use the system for?

I use my system for heavy gaming, music, web surfing, and dvd burning.

How much did you spend on the rig?

I have spent around $3,200 which includes monitor, headset, etc.

How often do you update/buy a new rig?

I usually build a new computer after a couple of years.

What components are used?

AMD Athlon 64 3800+
MSI K8N Neo4 Plat/SLI
2x EVGA 6800 Ultra PCI-E
1GB (2x512) C
orsair 4400C25
Samsung 160GB 7200 RPM 8mb
Memorex DVD-ROM drive
Enermax 535w
Audigy 2 ZS Gamer

Why ATI or NVIDIA, why Intel/AMD?

I first bought an ATI 9200 and I thought it was a pretty good card. It played all my games like Warcraft 3 and CS, but when I bought an EVGA 6800 Ultra on this new system I was amazed by the FPS improvement. I prefer Nvidia because of better drivers and openGL 2.0. I prefer AMD because I know that AMD chips spin faster than Intel chips (Ed: Que?) and AMD is just better with games than Intel.

Does the system work as expected?

Yes my system works as expected. There might be some flaws here and there but overall my system rocks

What's the best part of your rig?

The best part of my rig is my 2 brand new EVGA 6800 Ultra PCI-E cards in SLI mode. These monsters are super fast! I just love 'em!

Modified cases/video cards/other? Did you do it yourself?

I have a Silverstone case TJ03. It was the case used in dream machine 04. I bought a side window for it and added a cooling system - the koolance exos-al. My 2 EVGA 6800 Ultras are cooled with the VID-NV2-L06 (Vid) block, and I have blue cathode light. That's about it. I installed everything myself.

3DMark scores?

3DMark05: 5705 (single card), 9606 (SLI mode)

Future upgrades?

Future upgrades? Hmmmm..... Let's see. I plan to buy an AMD FX-57 and 2x WD 74GB 10000RPM drives. I also want 2x 7800 GTX!
