Why ATI/Nvidia, why Intel/AMD?
Chosen the AMD and NVIDIA combination as she really loves her games. Her favourites are DOOM3 and HL2. Plus, in the near future, she will have an SLI setup and again, at the time of purchase, there was no Intel or ATI option for SLI.
Works alright?
Yes, occasional hang when gaming, that case isnt as thermal dynamic as they make outtemps do get quite high, but the plus side is the quietness. The ASAKA heatsink and fan I bought, can go upto 4000rpm, but then it does become noise ! I have it set to 3000rpm, and its a good balance. The Silencer on the graphics card keep the temps to about 45 degrees idle, and 65-70 under full load. The RAM could be better
Best part?
The 3800+ - beast of a chip.
Dislikes?
The Advent 19 monitor. Its slow, and was bought on impulse. Should have researched that one

Future upgrades?
She will have a second INNO3d NVIDIA 6800GT so she can go SLI. Next, shell have one of the 74GB raptors when I get my 4 x 36GB Raptors. Shell also get some new RAM soon enough. Dont get me wrong, the Geil is reliable, but is the weakest link right now in her machine. Shell need 1gb of some fast timing RAM for her game playing.
