Razer Leviathan V2 gaming soundbar review - Final words and conclusion

Final Words

The Razer Leviathan V2 is a tiny and stylish soundbar that is a suitable sequel to the first model. The design is both stylish and inconspicuous (at least without RGB lights), the construction is reasonable, and the sound quality is very good once you tweaked it a little with the EQ. Looking at the pricing of roughly 250 EUR, there are other (regular) PC speakers that, while not as good, are more proportional and fit better into a PC setup. Aimed at a single player on PC, such as in Battlefield V, Formula 1 or Cyberpunk 2077, will enjoy it. The kit has enough punch to startle you, yet it is still a 2.1 kit. Remember that at all times.

Conclusion

The soundbar and the subwoofer communicate with PC desktops and laptops via USB cable, and they also have the capability of connecting wirelessly to audio sources via Bluetooth, here however you can't make use of the Razer software suite. Other than that the functionality of the software or mobile app is impeccable. A bit of a downer is that the gaming soundbar cannot be used with a television or game console because it does not have a 3.5 mm port or an optical output, nor does it have an HDMI port for ARC functiononailty. Given the price, it is understood that there is not a wireless subwoofer included. We also feel it is unfortunate that Dolby Atmos is not supported. On the other hand, the device is exceptional in regard to each and every PC criterion. The Bluetooth functionality is handy. You can easily connect your phone with the app and play music. Another element that makes us question what's going on is the spatial audio in THX. On or off, it doesn't create a significant enough impact to be a useful tool for making the soundstage appear larger. On the other hand, the soundbar does not require this because the soundstage is already adequate, really good even. Overall we feel the Razer Leviathan V2 is a good soundbar that gets its 2.1 jobs done. In gaming, sounds are incredibly pure, beautiful, deep, and full thanks to the subwoofer. It's extremely simple to connect to your PC—just three cords are required. With the Razer Synapse software, you may alter the LED lighting to match the theme of your setup and do a bit of equalization. We feel the Razer Leviathan V2 will be a successful soundbar and subwoofer combination if you understand a few of its limitations. But the price we feel is worth the money.
