You can literally feel the intensity of the game

We take a look at the Razer Kraken v3 Pro, the company's latest premium gaming headset series. A gaming and music-obsessed headset that has been improved once again with additional capabilities. This headset features haptic technology, which causes the earcups to rumble in response to bass. And as skeptic, as we were, that was significantly more enjoyable than anticipated.

Let me first state that the Razer Kraken V3 HyperSense and Kraken V3 Pro gaming headphones are not your average gaming headsets as they are designed to enhance your gaming experience. The Hypersense edition comes with Lofelt's L5 haptic drivers, which vibrate and bring feelable texture to sounds like footsteps or grenades going off, distinguishing these gaming headphones from the rest of the competition. We know, it's not a new technology as it stems back from audio technology that first appeared in Razer's Nari headset in 2018. I was skeptical about it as well, but the Kraken V3 HyperSense is, in my opinion, one of the better gaming headsets available for the money. 

The new Kraken V3 is available as we speak in four different configurations, only the top two variants, both of which include HyperSense, are relevant in our case. Kraken V3 HyperSense is the wired version of the device that I've been testing; the Kraken V3 Pro is the wireless version of the device that I've been testing. The Kraken V3 HyperSense is similar to the Kraken V3 Pro, except that it is connected instead of wireless. In addition to HyperSense, THX spatial audio, Razer TriForce Titanium 50mm speakers, a detachable microphone, Chroma RGB illumination, a volume slider, and a mute button, both headsets feature a mute button.

You can connect the pro both though, wireless and wired. A 2-meter braided wire is long enough to reach my PC, which is tucked away behind my desk. It is only a minor inconvenience that the cord is hooked to the left ear cup and travels across my body to the right PC, but this is a minor inconvenience nonetheless. With thick memory foam cushions and a soft band that easily fits my head, and is really comfortable to wear for lengthy periods of time.  These haptic drivers are included with Razer's Triforce Titanium drivers, which are included in the Kraken V3. Due to the three-layer structure of these Razer drivers, they deliver more definition between different frequencies. This enables these drivers to fine-tune the highs, mids, and lows independently for a more immersive audio experience. There is still a lot of room for tweaking the sound with the Razer Synapse program, but we will discuss this in further depth in the software chapter.
