Performance Frametimes Crimson versus Adrenalin

Here again, I grabbed three games with a scripted scene and ran them through FCAT. The card used is the Radeon RX 580. I used the initial April Crimson 17.4.2 driver and then compared the result sets with the new Adrenalin 17.12.1 driver as released today. Since, in the course of 10 months, obviously, the performance has increased a notch, the latency is automatically lower as it is directly related to FPS.

Plot

Lower is better here since perf has improved a notch in the 10 months, frame latency is also a notch slower. Pacing overall seems to be exactly the same. BTW do not worry at all about a drop here and there.

For ghost recon, it's pretty much the same story. More or less the same pacing wise, and a bump in performance.

The rise of the Tomb Raider, You can tell that I started the scene run one second later on crimson. But it's the same story, slightly faster FPS, slightly lower latency, frame pacing is the same and looks terrific overall I must say as well.

Fun fact, I have Vulkan working with FCAT. Above a quick run. This is just an Adrenalin run, FPS and frame times are good. But when we talk pacing, the latency difference between frames, here you can see a bit more erratic behavior, it's little though.
