Product PCB and component analysis

In the photos below you can see a number of things, GDDR5 memory chips are fabbed by Micron. This is a 1576 MHz (8 Gbps effective) type of graphics memory. Photos show the Polaris 30 GPU. You'll notice that all critical components have been properly thermally padded on the cooler side. The VRM is based on an International Rectifier controller, commonly used in this product range. The GDDR5 memory chips are made by Micron and carry the model number D9VVR specced at 2000 MHz (8 Gbps GDDR5 effective data-rate). AMD's 12 nm  Polaris 30 (we'll call it 30 as AMD did not disclose the codename) is looking quite familiar.
