DX9: Hard Reset

DX9: Hard Reset

Hard Reset is a PC-exclusive FPS from The Flying Wild Hog, a Polish developer that is made up from members of the team behind Painkiller (People Can Fly), and former developers from CD Projekt Red and City Interactive.
In development since April 2009, the game features a cyberpunk plot. It draws inspiration from William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, and Philip K. Dick (especially Blade Runner in story). In gameplay, Serious Sam is the main inspiration; explosive barrels and large hordes of enemies will be prominent within the game. There is no multiplayer.

Hard Reset was added into our benchmark suite as it has a handy to use benchmark mode that is very representative of the in-game graphics engine performance.

AMD Radeon 7970 Ghz

Very few other results for now, we recently inserted this benchmark. What you'll notice with the R7970 Ghz edition is that in older and DX9 games the are fairly close to the GTX 670. However when raw GPU power is needed in modern titles then thats where the  R7970 GHz will take off much faster.

So the first round of benchmarks is a little "meh" for the R7970 GHz edition as we always start with DX9 and more aged title's. Hey perhaps we saved the best for last ;)
