Ever since Christmas 2004 (seems like a long time eh?) when the AGP version of the GeForce 6600GT became available, these little puppies have been flying over the counter. They are hot, wanted and they are selling. And they should be selling as the GeForce 6600 GT offers really nice performance with a feature set that is completely up-to-date for a price that most of you are willing to spend, if you are a gamer that is.
Today's product review will be a product from the well respected manufacturer Prolink. A company that isn't really out there alarming users with aggressive marketing campaigns. No, this is a relatively quiet company with a very keen insight on hardware and the reputation to deliver quality products, yet they always try to be a little different compared to the competition. That in fact is their signature. The product tested is of course their GeForce 6600 GT in a nice AGP flavor.
Prolink is offering a lot of GeForce 6600 products, let's have a quick look at them:
Model | Serie | Core Freq MHz | Mem Freq MHz | Mem MB |
GeForce 6600 GT | PV-N43E(128LD) | 500 | 1000 | 128 128 Bit |
GeForce 6600 GT | PV-N43UA(128KD) | 500 | 900 | 128 128-Bit |
GeForce 6600 Golden Limited | PV-N43EG(256KV) | 300 | 600 | 256 128 Bit |
GeForce 6600 Golden Limited | PV-N43EG(128KV) | 300 | 600 | 256 128 Bit |
GeForce 6600 Ultimate | PV-N43ET(256KD) | 300 | 500 | 256 128 Bit |
GeForce 6600 Ultimate | PV-N43ET(128KD) | 300 | 500 | 128 128 Bit |
GeForce 6600 | PV-N43E(128LD) | 300 | 400 | 128 64 Bit |
GeForce 6600 | PV-N43E(128KD) | 300 | 400 | 128 128 Bit |
GeForce 6600 | PV-N43E(256KD) | 300 | 400 | 256 128 Bit |
As you can see there's quite a few GeForce 6600 models to choose from, actually so much that it's confusing. The product you want to steer way clear of is the one marked with 64-bit memory. Memory bandwidth is extremely crucial and a very important factor for performance. That 64-bit version will have effectively halved performance over the 128-bit models.
The sample we are testing today can be found in the upper region of the list, meaning we have a somewhat faster model in the mid-range. As stated before, it's the AGP model 6600 GT, armed with 128 MB (128-bit) memory clocked at 900 MHz and has a core running at 500 MHz. And that my guru's is the stuff we want to see on a mid-range product.
You can't go wrong with the 6600 GT, it offers so much fun and gameplay. You'll play games with very respectable performance and all the nifty technology features we seek and get offered in today's technology. Let's have a quick overview of the Series 6 products from NVIDIA and then talk a little about features and technology. Next we'll show you a photo shoot, followed by overclocking, benchmarks/tests and of course we'll be concluding with "the verdict" on this Prolink product.
Two 128MB GeForce 6600 GT's in one PC, bridged together in SLI mode. That's what we'll be reviewing today. The cards are being made by that lovely company called Prolink, and the product series is of course PixelView.

Prolink PixelView GeForce 6600 Ultimate review
Another week another GeForce 6600 review. And I'm afraid this will continue to do so for the next couple of weeks. The GeForce 6600 is hitting the market hard as this is going to be a graphics card that is affordable yet offers some really good value for it's money. Today's product review is no less of that.. Last week we received a new sample from the good folks of Prolink, a company with a reputation to do things differently. Plasma cooling, PDF technology are two thing that come to mind immediately.
Prolink PixelView GeForce FX 5700 review
So, today's product we are going to review is the Prolink GeForce FX 5700 armed with video in/out, 256 MB memory and a sub 25dB cooling solution which is equipped with something that is called PDF, no note the Adobe one, it's called Plasma Display Fan. I hear you say .. 'Say waah ?' Hey don't ask me either .. plasma ?
