In today's review we'll be having a look at a new product from PowerColor, this particular brand has been around for quite a few years now and the true ancient guru's among you will even remember a few product reviews from them in the past, the 3dfx era. Prior to the Cebit exhibite a few weeks ago I was contacted by a representative of Tul, the actual company that is behind the PowerColor line of products, asking if we would be interested in reviewing some of their products. Over the years Powercolor has grown to be a grand name in the industry so I welcomed that invitation very much.
Tul is a leader within the PC industry and owns the brand of PowerColor, which is already well-known as the world's third largest provider of graphic cards and the number one supplier of graphics boards powered by ATI graphic processors. Meanwhile, Tul is also a leading provider of motherboards, barebones systems, thin clients, and Home Gateway Services -making Tul one of the PC industry's fastest growing suppliers of integrated PC product solutions to customers around the globe.
There are over 180 employees and branches in China and Holland for supporting dealers and distributors in over 50 countries and over 300 channel partners. Our customers include top tier OEMs, distributors, VARs, and system integrators.
Today we'll be peeking at the rather lovely Radeon X1800 GTO from this company.
So here it is my fellow guru's, a review on ATI latest 12-pipe mid-range product based on the X1800 silicon which quite frankly is a very credible graphics card as you'll learn in this article. The product offers up-to twice the performance of the X1600 Pro yet carries a pricetag of sub 249 USD. Theis model from PowerColor is actually tagged at 239 USD. Fascinating ? Yes I agree .. absolutely. With that being said I'd like to invite you to hit the next page where we'll start off with a little technical information on the new Radeon X1800 GTO, discuss it's pricing, followed by a little photo shoot after we'll startup a large benchmark session to see how well it behaved performance wide.
Does that sound interesting ? Good .. next page please.
