So the PowerColor Radeon R9 285 TurboDuo edition is a 2GB version with a dual-fan design heatpipe cooler. It has two PCI-E PEG power connector (6-pin).
The R9 285 is armed with 2 GB graphics memory @ 5.5 Gbps / 256-bit to get you a little more leash with resolutions and image quality settings. The reference clocked products will run with clock freqeuncy up-to 918 MHz on its 1792 shader processors, this 3rd party model is clocked at 945 MHz for you.
The card has been designed to be a nice match for Full HD gaming, up-to 1080P. AMD however is positioning the card as a great alternative for 2560x1440 gaming, so we'll place a focus at that in out article. The reality though is that the Radeon R9 285 performance wise honestly is at Radeon HD 7950 / 7970 like performance yet with only 2 GB of graphics memory.
The specs are fairly similar to the regular 280, 1792 shader processors running up-to a core frequency of 945 MHz. The 2 GB GDDR5 graphics memory runs on a 256-bit wide bus. The PowerColor card comes with HDMI, DisplayPort and two DVI monitor connectors so all the bases are covered.
