Phanteks EVOLV X review - Product showcase – The Build

If you want to remove the top cover, you need to undo two screws in the back of the case.

You can also unscrew the radiator bracket from the chassis. Mounting an SSD is easy with the use of the metal covers at the back. You can install three SSD’s per each. You just remove them from the hinges, secure a drive with screws, and put them back in. It’s a perfect position to make them like the F117 stealth fighter, I mean - hidden.

Installing 3.5” drives requires a bit more effort. You need to secure the drive to the cage using the attached screws, and then put the bracket back in again.

Dual-lane cable ties with a new quick release and fastening system really help keeping the cables organized and accessible. You can also see the “rails” for the plastic cable covers from the main compartment.

Even the rear fan cable has a special “tunnel” to avoid the mess. Let’s head to the cream of the crop, and by that, we mean the finished build.
