The Patriot Viper V765 keyboard arrived in a colorful cardboard box that is flashy and also displays the keys themselves. Resistance to water and dust up to IP56 rating, N-key rollover, and anti-ghosting are the most important features.

 
As you can see, the box lets you access 4 keys, so you can press them without taking the keyboard out. That’s a nice feature, which can make your choice easier when you’re in a store.

Inside, we find the keyboard protected by a spongy frame and a transparent plastic bag.

At 1.1 x 18.4 x 6.4 inches (4 x 46.6 x 20.3 cm), the Viper V765 is really compact, for a full-size keyboard. The chassis is made of quality gunmetal aluminum, weighing 1.13 kg. It is very well finished. The keycaps are made of ABS (not PBT), but this should still be enough for most users.

Additionally, inside we can find a (very shot) user guide, some stickers with the Viper logo, and a removable magnetic wrist rest. An extraction clamp for the keys is provided in a separate plastic bag.

The detachable wrist rest is made of rubberized plastic, and it attaches to the keyboard magnetically. It is not going to please everyone, because it is slightly narrower than the standard gadget of this type, which will be particularly noticeable for people with large hands (like me). The 1.8 m USB cable is braided and red (should be faster, right?
