System Memory Bandwidth Performance – AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

System Memory Bandwidth Performance – AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

First up is the AMD system. We tested the memory both with the default XMP (3600 MHz), as well as overclocked/tweaked to lower timings. The reviewed memory kit runs at 3600 MHz when you activate XMP in the BIOS. One remark though - Ryzen 3000 processors with up to 8 cores make use of a single CPU die. The CCD/IOD link is 32B/cycle while reading and 16B/cycle for writing, so that’s why the write performance is halved. This is normal.

Time for some overclocking.
