The reference 4080 graphics cards feature a maximum boost clock of 2.5 GHz, whereas the GamePRO OC boasts a boost clock of 2.610 MHz and a base clock of 2.205 MHz. It is important to note that due to the high heat output of this product, a well-ventilated PC is required to ensure optimal performance. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that your PC has adequate ventilation to accommodate the heat output of the device.
The RTX 4000 series graphics cards are equipped with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports. It's a bit of a downer that NVIDIA did not opt for the new DP 2.1 standard already. The IO panel is an air vent with connectors that will support 8K 60 Hz HDR via a single HDMI cable.
The card is 33 x 13 cm and weighs 1557 grams. Palit will also offer an optional bracket that will keep the card from sagging when inserted horizontally. The GamePRO also has an almost hidden A-RGB connection, allowing you to connect the GPU to the motherboard's aRGB header and even daisy chain aRGB products. This makes it easier to sync all of your aRGB goodness and ensures that you get the effects and colours you want across all of your components.
When powered on the card, RGB LEDs illuminate the GeForce RTX 4080 and GameRock logos. From this side, we can see the heatsink, which means the heat will have more room to drain, perhaps keeping our card cooler and allowing us to get the most frames out of our favourite games.
As previously stated, it weighs almost ~1.5kg, so be careful when installing as if not secured with screws, you could easily snap that PCIe Slot of yours.
As expected, the display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1. A 2x8-pin to 16-pin converter from Palit is included. Just make sure you have a strong enough power supply. The metal and RGB-lighted splendour of the card is stunning. The front shroud has a brushed metal edge contrasting with two shades of grey. The GamePRO cards boast a lot of RGB and are perhaps one of the most RGB-covered GPUs we have seen. While this may not be for everyone, there is no denying that it makes a statement and is quite odd in its own right.
